Thanks for the call to challenge how inclusive we are ("Home Makeover," December 2013). But regarding "young Clevelanders who are invited to have a say in local affairs," I know some young Clevelanders that need no invite. Those holding political power need to be inclusive and seek out leaders of all types from their community. But citizens also have the duty to be involved and hold their political representatives accountable. That's why I like that Dana [Textoris] points out that she brought her ideas and vote. Good for her!
