This weekend, Verb Ballets will perform the classic ballet “Triptych” at the Heinz Poll Summer Dance Festival. The Shaker Heights group will also perform other selections ranging in traditional and contemporary techniques. While the University Heights Symphonic Band would normally be performing seasonal concerts at John Carroll University, schools, churches, and senior centers around Cleveland, this coming Friday will mark one of its first events since the coronavirus pandemic. The performance will include Big Band-era music, “Raiders March” by John Williams, and arrangements by Aretha Franklin and Neil Diamond. The concert is a part of the Coventry Village Special Improvement District’s Final Fridays series in Coventry Village, which includes discounts at participating shops, sidewalk art, vendors, and a free movie in the P.E.A.C.E. park.
