The 108-stair climb to the top of the Cleveland Metroparks toboggan chutes is worth the effort when you wrap your arms and legs around your date and hold on tight — for safety, of course. But also for the icy, 70-foot vertical drop that propels your sled down the 700-foot track at up to 50 mph. The toboggans can seat up to four people, making this a perfect one-on-one or double date. “You’re out of your comfort zone a little bit,” says chalet manager Amy McRitchie. “You’re nervous, you’re excited and sharing that with someone else can tell them a lot about you.” Sneak a kiss under the tunnel of lights by the stairs or at the top of the chutes before you are sent off for that extra romantic feel, McRitchie suggests.
