Asian Lantern Festival
Cleveland Clinic Children’s has partnered with Cleveland Metroparks Zoo for this beautiful event featuring nearly 50 colorful lantern displays. Along with the incandescent lanterns, visitors will take a bite out of Asian culture with authentic cuisine and a craft market. Visit your favorite zoo animals while live music plays on the Fifth Third Bank stage all night. $14.50-45. GroundWorks DanceTheater
GroundWorks DanceTheater will be returning to Cain Park this summer for its 16th installment of creativity and passion. In a collaboration with ChamberFest Cleveland, the group will put on a dazzling live music and dance program that highlights revolutionary moments in chamber music history. Banning Bouldin, founder of New Dialect in Nashville, will feature his commissioned work at the event. $25-28. Lady Antebellum and Darius Rucker
Seven-time Grammy award-winning band Lady Antebellum takes the stage with Darius Rucker at Blossom Music Center. Stop by and drink in the taste of Nashville with the country music-juggernauts as July begins to dwindle down. Explore Blossom’s large-scale pavilion and enjoy the southern sounds at this Northeast Ohio summer hotspot. $34-360. Christmas in July at the Christmas Story House
Cleveland goes all-out for Christmas in July at the Christmas Story House, one of the locations used during the filming of the legendary movie. Over 35 years after A Christmas Story was released, the iconic house will host a meet and greet with Patty Johnson, who was an elf in the film, and food vendors. Jack Frost Donuts will be at the event selling their famous A Christmas Story-themed donuts that each represent either a character, prop or theme from the film. There will be a Red Ryder range set up in the backyard for visitors to practice their dead-eye, but don’t shoot your eye out. $7-11. Euclid Beach Park Day
Have some old-school fun in remembrance of Euclid Beach Park, Cleveland's beloved beachside amusement park which operated from 1895 to 1969. At the Cleveland History Center's annual celebration, guests can take a blast from the past with midway games and crafts, or pump up the action with pony rides and rocket car rides. Treat yourself to some Euclid Beach vanilla frozen custard and Humphrey's popcorn balls or grab a snack from a food truck. Top the day off with the most classic of rides — a trip around the original Euclid Beach Park Grand Carousel. $5-10.
