Cleveland National Air Show
Buckle up and get ready for the vroom. Defining roars return to the Lake Erie Shore this weekend for another installment of one of the country’s oldest annual air shows. From vintage World War II plane’s gut wrenching acrobatics to the U.S. Air Force’s most powerful jet, which hits 9G and speeds close to 1,200 mph, the show in the sky, which is highlighted by the USAF Thunderbirds Demonstration Team, is worth craning your neck for. But there’s plenty of fun to be had on the ground, too, with aviation-related exhibits, pilot meet-and-greets and tons of delicious grub. Cleveland Oktoberfest
Get ready to drink some beer. Cleveland gets a genuine German experience this weekend as the annual festival returns to the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds. From beer stein-holding competitions to a massive beer garden with the best local and imported suds on tap, Oktoberfest is a beer lover’s paradise. But it’s not all about the brews. Traditional dancers in German garb dance to a live soundtrack from Grammy-nominated polka performers Alex Meixner Band. And coat that belly for more pints with your fill of bratwurst and schnitzel. The 105th St. Rocco’s Festival
his family-friendly event celebrates the parish’s patron saint with authentic Italian cuisine, casino games, carnival rides and more.
