We're rulers of recreation according to the Trust for Public Land's 2010 city park report on the 85 most populated cities. Now, if only these facilities weren't buried in snow for a good chunk of the year.

1st Swimming pools per 100,000 residents (9.2 pools)
7th Basketball hoops per 10,000 residents (5.3 hoops)
10th Ball diamonds per 10,000 residents (3.2 diamonds)
27th Playgrounds per 10,000 residents (2.7 playgrounds)
