What’s making me laugh: John Paul Brammer
Why they’re making me laugh: The Brooklyn-based author has created an advice and essay column called ¡Hola Papi! that’s both poignant and funny. Plus, their Twitter is abundant with all the best tasting tea a quarantined gay can get.

What’s making me laugh: Jeremiah Widmer’s Phil Collins Impression
Why it’s making me laugh: The Q104 radio host is one of my favorite follows on Instagram thanks to his sense of humor, which I’d describe as pop culture-meets-dad jokes. But this video of him slamming shut kitchen cupboards to the beat of Collins’ “In the Air Tonight” cheered me up after another long day of being stuck in the house.

What’s making me laugh: Watching Reno 911
Why it’s making me laugh: This mid 2000s Comedy Central show follows a group of terribly incompetent officers from the sheriff’s department in Reno, Nevada. The show recently announced new episodes would be coming out soon, so my boyfriend and I started rewatching all the old seasons and have been laughing our butts off at how completely ridiculous this show is. It’s a weird combination of complete improvised nonsense with some clever jokes sprinkled in.

What’s making me laugh: Nat’s What I Reckon’s cooking videos
Why it’s making me laugh: Nat is an Australian metal drummer/comedian whose profane cooking instructions, accent and general ability to look like a Grog Shop hang-about have cracked me up for the last week. He’s got spot-on deadpan (hardee-har) delivery, which is surprisingly cheery to watch on the tablet while I sling around pots and pans in my own kitchen.

What’s making me laugh: Schitt’s Creek
Why it’s making me laugh: This bebe is currently on her third watch-through of SC, which blends the same absurd energy of the Christopher Guest mockumentaries I love with a genuine warmth and tenderness.

What’s making me laugh: It’s a toss-up between Elvis Duran on 96.5 or my pint-sized happy niece.
Why it’s making me laugh: I listen to Elvis Duran daily. It’s one of the few things that I’ve been able to keep consistent in my life during the stay-at-home order. The chemistry the show has and the silliness that they bring to my mornings makes me happy. And even though I can’t physically see my niece as much as I want to right now, FaceTime and Zoom calls are a regular occurrence for my family.

What’s making me laugh: Tucker the Tiny Tortoise’s Instagram
Why it’s making me laugh: I just can’t get enough of the adorable Tucker, a costume-wearing, hard-shelled tortoise who lives with his BFF (a pretty chill cat) and his human mom who loves to dress him up and then film him to some pretty great tunes. My fave post so far has been Tucker strutting his stuff to “Old Town Road,” but a close second is Tucker’s star-making performance in “Senorita” with his feline friend.

What’s making me laugh: Kerry Washington’s Facial Expressions In Little Fires Everywhere
Why it’s making my laugh: While we loved the Shaker Heights-set Hulu adaptation of Celeste Ng’s Little Fires Everywhere, my fiance and I, who are the type of immature people to laugh at a funeral, were cracking up over Washington’s over-dramatic lip-quivers. Apparently, it’s a thing, but since we never watched Scandal, we got a kick out of the actress contorting her face and constantly existing on the verge of tears for 10 straight episodes. Tiffany Boone also nails the Washington Quiver as a young version of Washington’s character in the flashback episode.

What's making me laugh: Rickey Thompson on Instagram
Why it's making me laugh: Rickey Thompson is a jack of all trades. Comedian? Check. Dancer? Check. His own hair stylist? Check. Master of serving lewks? Check. Self-proclaimed back-up singer for Beyonce? Sure. He is known for posting sassy and confidence-boosting videos from his bedroom, and they have only escalated to prime content during his self-quarantine. His posts seem to capture the exact mood that everyone is in at this point with social distancing, but with a lot of extra flare.
