How he caught our eye: He's an animal-lover and martial arts expert, but our favorite thing about him is where you'll find him every Sunday morning: at the Strongsville Heinen's, taking his grandmother shopping.

Something most people don't know about me: I'm a huge animal-lover. I love them too much to make them put up with my work schedule. ... I like to hang out with my mom's dog, Maggie, a Jack Russell terrier. She's, like, my best friend.
My passion: Helping others. We're very small, family-oriented fitness studio. We take people, and we make them healthier, stronger, younger. We take people that come to us, and they say, "Fix me," and we fix them without medication, without drugs. ... When I drive down the street, when I walk through stores, I see the majority of Cleveland is just miserably unhealthy, whether they know it or not. ... Biggest turn-on: A sense of humor, an open mind and someone that is not selfish
Biggest turnoff: I can't stand lazy people because I know it won't work out. I'm the polar opposite. I carry 12-, 14-hour days sometimes running a couple different businesses.
I own too many: Superman comic books. I like Superman and Batman. That's definitely the most nerdy aspect to my personality. I like to read comics like I'm 10 years old.

... place in Cleveland: My house. That's my favorite place because it's my fortress; it's my place where I can go to have solitude.
... book: The Art of War by Sun Tzu. The book offers a compelling insight into the human mind. And the philosophies from hundreds of years ago still reflect a lot of truths on how people think in today's world.
... musician/band: Bruce Springsteen. He's a genius.

... TV show: The funniest show on television is Family Guy. That show's absolutely hilarious.
... vacation destination: Florida. I have family down there, and right off Tampa is Clearwater Beach. In the summertime it is a perfect vacation destination. The restaurants are awesome, the weather's hot, the water's actually warm. I've never been attacked by a shark.
... dessert: Sugar is actually poison. It feeds cancer. However, I'm not trying to be a total boring dork for this article. I would have to say anything chocolate. That brings a smile to my face.

It's the most advanced Volkswagen ever produced, and the car is absolutely so cool and so awesome, and I want to buy one. ... My usual hangout: I'm always working. I spent five years as a Baldwin-Wallace College instructor — I ran the martial arts and fitness program. ... During the days I'm at the gym, but socially when I like to just chill, I like to go this bar in Strongsville called Triv's, and there's another bar called Bilo's, and it's just like a very clean, friendly neighborhood bar, and this is all within a couple minutes of where I work.

My best feature: My heart
My bad habit: You might run out of ink on this one. It takes me awhile to get back to people. It takes me too long to return phone calls and e-mails. In my defense, it's because I don't get six phone calls or 12 e-mails a day. I get 85 e-mails, 200 texts and 30 phone calls a day. So that's why I'm a mental case.
My first kiss: The reason I'm laughing is because I haven't thought about that in awhile. My first kiss was to my girlfriend in high school. Her name was Tricia, and that was my first kiss. I was 17 years old.
My guilty pleasure: Food. I love to eat.
How my ex would describe me: I'd be described as kind, supportive. ... They have the perception that I'm very successful, and the problem with all my relationships is that at the end of the day, they tend to run out of patience with my inability to accommodate their schedule. I wake up early to train people, or I have to work on a Saturday, so I can't go out on a Friday. I have to fit my social life into my work schedule. I feel horrible because really that always ends up breaking the relationship.

I hate when a date ... gets weird. Some of these people out there, they're just weird. They'll be text messaging for 15 minutes when they're with me. I can tell within 30 seconds if I'm going to go on a second date with someone.
But I love when a date ... smiles sincerely. If I know that I'm making someone else happy or I'm making them smile, hey, that's wonderful.
Worst pickup line: The fact that anyone would actually use that to get someone's attention is more than ridiculous to me. ... The worst I've ever heard is, can I see the tag on your shirt? I want to see if you were made in heaven.
If I could date anyone: Avril Lavigne. She's a rock star. She'd be cool to hang out with.

Best place to meet someone: Wherever you do what you love to do. So if you love to work out, meet someone at the gym. If you love to shop, go to the mall because you're going to find a likeminded person.
Most unusual place I've met someone: A parking lot
My take on Cleveland's single scene: There's so many singles, so many nice, positive people. For some reason, they're not fitting together. I don't know if they're not going to the right places or if East Side isn't blending with the West Side enough. I'm not sure.
