The Press Club of Cleveland named the winners of its 2025 All-Ohio General Excellence Awards, and Cleveland Magazine took home five first-place plaques and a second-place finish. The selections spanned writing, reporting, art and design and included a general excellence award for Best in Ohio: Print Periodical.
The awards, presented on June 6 at a ceremony, feature more than 100 categories of print and digital design as well as digital, video and written storytelling. Besides the Best in Ohio award, highlights included Best in Ohio: Art Director, honoring Erin Stinard's work directing projects throughout the magazine and covers, such as the stark (and scientifically accurate) illustration of the total solar eclipse in April 2024; Annie Nickoloff's detailed portrayal of life on board a Great Lakes freightliner; Abigail Archer's depiction of a chaotic senate race; and Dillon Stewart's nuanced portrait of fading football star Bernie Kosar's battle with (and surprising approach to fighting) parkinson's and liver disease.
