Clevelanders have been known to cry in their beer, but that never happens when Nicholle Lottman is behind the bar at Porcelli's Bistro downtown. Playboy proclaimed the 25-year-old America's Sexiest Bartender after an online vote and awarded her a two-page spread in the magazine's December 2010 issue. Shaken? Stirred? We don't care as long as Lottman is serving it.
Q: How does it feel to appear in Playboy?
A: Being in Playboy was always at the top of my list of things I wanted to do. I've always loved the magazine and was a subscriber before this happened. I know it's kind of a clichÃÆ'©, but it does have good articles. I have signed about 10 magazines for the regulars here. My parents were shocked at first, but they are happy for me now. And my boyfriend is very supportive.
Q: I'm planning a party, what are the essentials?
A: For a good party you need a fully stocked bar, and remember to have your martini glasses chilled. Ice is your friend. Never run out. I like using vanilla vodka in hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps in eggnog. And a good party always has to have good music.
Q: Should a bartender flirt with her customers?
A: I really don't have a lot of time to do much flirting. It's a very demanding job, but I don't mind it because I wasn't built for the normal 9-to-5.
Q: What is the lamest pickup line you've ever heard?
A: I would have to say the worst ones are "Do you know CPR because you take my breath away" and "You may think this is a beer belly, but it's really a tank for my love machine."
