Cleveland Division of Water graphic designer
How she caught our eye: She loves to cut loose downtown, but this lifelong artist dreams of seeing art in Italy. And if you take her to a Celine Dion concert, she'll be yours for life.
The perfect date: Something that has lots of conversation
Something most people don't know about me: I love making my own jewelry. ... I refuse to make it more than a hobby because then it wouldn't be fun anymore.
My passion: I love graphic design; I definitely love art and design. It's something that I've always been into.
Biggest turn-on: I really like a man who is a genuine communicator. A genuine communicator to me is someone who wants to talk with you, as opposed to someone who's like, "Oh, I know how to communicate."
Biggest turnoff: Bad breath
I own too many: Sunglasses. Oh my gosh, I'm terrible. Somebody would look in my car and be like, why?
My favorite ...
... place in Cleveland: I love hanging out in the Warehouse District. ... I really like the new design of Metro. But I also love that whole East Fourth Street area.
... book: I'm super biased because I like books about art. So right now my favorite book is a book on the Harlem Renaissance, Harlem Renaissance: Art of Black America.
... musician/band: Right now hands down, I love Celine Dion. I also really love Brian McKnight, John Legend and Mary J. Blige.
... sports team: I'm not a very athletic person, but I do root for the Cleveland teams.
... TV show: I like CSI. I like the solving. I like to watch them solve it.
... vacation destination: Italy. I need to see the art from Italy.
... dessert: I love Haagen-Dazs pralines and cream. I do like a nice slice of cheesecake, too.
... blog: I'm very much into social media.
My usual hangout: Downtown. I'm a devout West Sider.
In high school I was ... the messy art girl with paint all over her. I was the one with the paint marks, fingerprints on her face, paint smudges on her shirt, charcoal on her pants. I was quiet and messy.
And now I'm ... still the art kid — with a good job.
My best feature: I think I have great skin.
My bad habit: At the movie theater, five minutes into it, I'm trying to guess the end. I like to know what's going to happen in the end. That's why I can't read long books.
My first kiss: It was in a vegetarian restaurant. I know it was late in life: My mother did not play that. It was very impromptu. This is what happens when you work closely with someone, chopping vegetables all day.
My guilty pleasure: I like to go shopping. I love to walk around DSW. You can go in there and find something with any budget.
How my ex would describe me: I gave unselfishly.
Going out or staying in: A lot of both
Early, late or right on time: I'm embarrassingly late. I work on it all the time.
Dogs or cats: Neither
Dancing ... yes or no?: Yes
Twitter ... yes or no?: No twitter, but Facebook addict
My longest relationship: Eight years
Beer, wine or martinis: Can I have the wine and the martinis? I'm not a beer drinker at all.
Roses or chocolates: I'll take the roses.
My No. 1 dating rule: Listen at everything.
My deal-breaker: People who cancel first dates. You can reschedule, just don't cancel.
I hate when a date ... are pushy. Invading my physical space. What I don't want is for at the end of the date, you to be expecting something.
But I love when a date ... treats me like a lady. I love that whole chivalry thing. Taking my coat, holding the chair, escorting me in.
Worst pickup line: As I've gotten older, I haven't had as good of ones as I had when I was young.
If I could date anyone: I'm a huge Denzel Washington fan. He is so charismatic, and it comes through on film, and it comes through in interviews.
On a first date I never ... kiss.
Best place to meet someone: I don't mind the place, the where. What I want is just saying "hello," "hello, my name is." Don't send me liquor. Just come over and introduce yourself. "Hello" works so well.
Most unusual place I've met someone: I did meet someone in the grocery store once. I was in the meats at Giant Eagle, and it was very interesting because we were trying to figure out what the sale price was. The sign wasn't there. We probably talked for a good half-hour.
My take on Cleveland's single scene: I think that the Cleveland dating scene is constantly evolving.
