How she caught our eye: Loyal, fit and dedicated, Vats still has the same friends she's had since she was 7 years old. But to love her, you also have to love her workout schedule. She won't skip a day of exercise, so don't even ask.
The perfect date: Doesn't have to be over the top. It just requires a combination of good conversation, great food, wine and something interactive .
Something most people don't know about me: My age. I look younger than most people think. Though after this article comes out, I guess the jig is kind of up. It's not that I've always looked young. It's just that for the past 25 years I've looked exactly the same!
My passion: I have two contradicting passions: I totally committed to a lifestyle of health. I take vitamins every day and never miss a workout. But I also love going out to eat. ... It's kind of a balancing act in my life.
Biggest turn-on: Someone who has confidence and a strong character. A sense of humor, I think, goes without saying.
Biggest turnoff: An unhealthy lifestyle: all kinds of tobacco use, excessive drinking, and anyone who eats a lot of junk food. I can't respect someone who doesn't take care of themselves.
I own too many: I own, like, a ton of books that have yet to be read. I guess I just get too busy with work and working out and my required eight hours of sleep a night. I really only read when I'm on an airplane. I just really enjoy going to a bookstore and buying books.
My favorite ... place in Cleveland: In the summer I spend quite a bit of time on the Towpath walking or running or riding on it. It's just beautiful. I love being one with nature and I love the history of the towpath.
Favorite ... book: The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahari. It examines the emotional struggles between two conflicting cultures. I could very much relate to it. I cried through the whole book. I saw the movie too, but the book really spoke to me.
... musician/band: I have everything on my iPod from Jay Z to Led Zeppelin. I've seen Madonna in concert four times.
... sports team: I'm not so into sports. I'll tailgate with my friends and go to the Boneyard, but I'm in it more for the social experience.
... TV show: Right now it's a toss up between AMC's Mad Men and Modern Family. I literally laugh out loud while watching the show.
... vacation destination: The world is too big to see the same place twice. But if I had to choose, I'd pick Santa Margherita, Italy. It's just so beautiful and scenic and romantic. It seemed like time had stood still and the city was not impacted by the modern world.
... dessert: Um, too many to mention! I'm a lover of all desserts. Lately, though, I've really been into chocolate molten cake with a heaping side of vanilla bean ice cream.
... blog: I don't really have a favorite blog. I'm too old for that, I think. Is that something people do? Commit to a favorite blog?
My usual hangout: My usual place in the summer is anywhere with a patio. In the winter, it's anywhere with a fireplace inside.
In high school I was ... glad it was over. Don't get me wrong, I was a class officer and had a great time, but I was ready to move on by the end of senior year.
And now I'm ... still glad it's over. Though, I'm still the same person, just more mature and evolved. I go to all the reunions, and I'm still friends with the same people. In fact I've planned the five-year, ten-year, and twenty-year reunion. It's a commitment for life.
My best feature: People compliment me on my hair. People think it's very healthy and long.
My bad habit: When I'm really dreading a task, whether it's personal or professional, I tend to procrastinate.
My first kiss: Good girls don't kiss and tell.
My guilty pleasure: I can spend a rainy afternoon watching a marathon of Lifetime movies accompanied by nice big dessert.
How my ex would describe me: I mean this in the nicest way, but I honestly don't care. The past is the past.
Going out or staying in: I would say: balance is the key. A couple days in, a couple days out.
Early, late or right on time: Right on time
Dogs or cats: I choose to live my life pet free.
Dancing ... yes or no?: Hell yeah. That's a big yes. I just love dancing!
Twitter ... yes or no?: No
My longest relationship: I'd rather not answer. See above answer about the past.
Beer, wine or martinis: It depends on the season. I would say 80 percent of time wine. But generally, in the winter it's red wine; in the summer it's beer. Martinis jack me up too much. It's more of a once a year thing.
Roses or chocolates: Why not both?
My No. 1 dating rule: Be myself. I am who I am, and I'm proud of that.
My deal-breaker: There's so many! Right now, in this day and age, if you ask me out via text, there's a good chance there won't be a date.
I hate when a date ... Talks about himself the whole night and doesn't take any interest in getting to know me. I'm a good listener, but the date should be conversational.
But I love when a date ... is just attentive. He remembers what you said and asks questions. He has nice manners and is considerate.
Worst pickup line: I was at The Velvet Dog many moons ago, and this guy came up to me and said, "Oh My God, I love Gandhi will you please go out with me?" I'm Indian. I looked at him and busted out laughing. I did not go out with him.
If I could date anyone: I think I'm in love with Don Draper. He's dark and disturbed and so hot. I'm not sure I'd marry him, but I'm in love with him.
On a first date I never ... have overblown expectations. Not to sound negative, I just like to keep an open mind. I go on dates happily and look at it as a great opportunity for an evening out.
Best place to meet someone: If knew that I wouldn't be single!
Most unusual place I've met someone: I was recently asked out at a funeral. I respectfully declined the invitation.
