Ten years after Beth Stolarczyk stormed into the nation's households as a cast member of MTV's "The Real World: Los Angeles," the Garfield Heights native has launched a new venture with the help of 23 other reality-television veterans.
Two calendars — one featuring the "The Sexiest Men of Reality TV" and the other "The Sexiest Women of Reality TV" — hit stores last month. So, whether you're still pining away for "Survivor: Africa" $1 million winner Ethan Zohn or secretly in love with "American Idol" Top-10 finalist Kimberly Caldwell, you have a new item for your bedroom shrine. For that, you have Stolarczyk to thank.
When she realized that no one had yet put a reality stars calendar on the market, she called "The Real World: New York" cast member Eric Nies, who signed on immediately. Stolarczyk then tracked down 22 other participants and flew them to Los Angeles last summer for the photo shoot.
"For the men's calendar it was really interesting, because I thought the women would be the ones sizing up the other women," she recalls. "But the men were really competitive with each other. They were totally checking each other out and doing push-ups between shots."
Next up for Stolarczk is a DVD set to hit stores before the end of the year that offers advice to aspiring reality-television stars. Funny, we thought the best way to get cast on one of these shows was to just be real.
