Many salvage stores don't have phones and, therefore, aren't listed in any phone book. The "Amish Community Business Directory" available at Mary Yoder's Restaurant lists several, but not all. To our knowledge, this is the most complete current listing available. (All directions assume you're traveling east from the Cleveland area.)

5515 Kinsman Road (Rt. 87), Middlefield; Located 4 miles east of Middlefield and 2.5 miles west of Mesopotamia on Rt. 87. Mon-Wed 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thu and Fri 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sat 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
M and L Salvage and Bulk Foods
640 E. Main St. (Rt. 322), Orwell; Take Rt. 322 (Mayfield Road) straight into Orwell. Just past the center of town, in the Orwell Shopping Plaza on the right, you'll see a blue warehouse-style building behind the flea market. The sign is small and easy to miss. Mon- Fri 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sat 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Shedd Road Salvage
15067 Shedd Road, Burton; From Rt. 87, take Tavern Road to the right, off the Burton square, past the Red Maple Inn. Follow Tavern Road until you see Shedd Road on the left. Turn left. The store is next to the second building on the right. Mon and Fri 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tue- Thu 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sat 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tower Salvage
4652 Rt. 322, Windsor Township/Orwell; Take Rt. 322 (Mayfield Road all the way to Windsor. When you see the blinking radio tower on the right, turn right. Mon-Thu 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fri 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sat 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Townline Salvage
6918 South Windsor Road, Middlefield; South Windsor Road runs between Rt. 528 and Rt. 534. Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thu 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sat 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Non-Amish Owned Salvage Stores
Crossroads Salvage and Amish Oaks
4474 Rt. 422, Southington; Take Rt. 422 east through Parkman to Southington. At Rt. 534, make a U-turn so you're headed west on 422. It is on the left-hand side of the road. Do not try to travel south on Rt. 534 from Mesopotamia. Part of the road is closed. Mon-Sat: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Granny's Basket and Salvage Groceries
16029 Nauvoo Road, Middlefield; Take Rt. 87 to the heart of Middlefield. Turn left on to Rt. 608 (High Street) Pass the famous Middlefield Cheese Factory. Turn right onto Nauvoo Road. Granny's Basket is down on the right. Mon-Sat: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All stores are closed Sundays.
