Here are DMan's Three Takeaways from the Oct. 14 matchup:

New York's stars delivered, with home runs from Juan Soto and Giancarlo Stanton, and a strong pitching performance by Carlos Rodón, securing the win at home.
Takeaway Two: Cleveland's disastrous third inning.
The Guardians struggled in the third inning, with Alex Cobb and Joey Cantillo combining for a messy outing, including wild pitches that led to a three-run lead for the Yankees.
Takeaway Three: Guardians' offense falters.
José Ramírez and Josh Naylor went hitless, but Brian Rocchio provided a bright spot at the bottom of the order with two hits, including a home run, showing promise in the nine spot.
