In the spring of 1955, Cleveland Indians pitcher Bob Feller was 36 years old and close to the end of a Hall of Fame career. Coming off a 13-3 record for the American League Champion Indians that won 111 games only to get swept by Willie Mays' New York Giants in the World Series, Feller looked to be in mentor mode at spring training in Tucson, Arizona. That season, Herb Score — sitting to Feller's left — won 16 games, led the league with 245 strikeouts and won Rookie of the Year. But the team finished three games behind the New York Yankees in 1955. It would be 40 years until the team returned to baseball's Fall Classic.
