These Indians Live Streams Are The Next Best Thing To Opening Day
The Tribe is celebrating "Opening Day At Home" by airing its historic 22nd straight win from 2017 and the 1994 Opening Day on YouTube and SportsTime Ohio.
So among the COVID-19-related closings and cancelations, the Cleveland Indians announcing the 2020 Home Opener would be postponed ranked up there in heartbreak with St. Patrick's Day and the Cleveland Marathon.
But luckily, we won't be totally deprived of baseball in these early days of spring. The Cleveland Indians and SportsTime Ohio are coming together to create #OpeningDayAtHome.
Starting at 9 a.m. March 26 on Indians.com, Indians YouTube and Las Mayores on Facebook, you can relive the historic (and still in our opinion, record-breaking) 22nd win in 2017 — the longest win streak in the American League.
Then at 7 p.m., SportsTime Ohio is revisiting the 1994 Opening Day. In this game, a stacked Indians team that includes Kenny Lofton, Omar Vizquel, Carlos Baerga, Albert Belle, Manny Ramirez and more takes on the Seattle Mariners in the first-ever game at Jacobs Field.
If you love the Indians’ stellar social media team as much as we do, you can follow along on Twitter and Instagram Stories for live updates throughout the games. Plus, STO and the Tribe’s social media channels will be airing classic games and highlights while we wait for baseball to start.
Hey, some baseball is better than no baseball. Just don't remind us that it's finally 60-degrees and sunny on an Opening Day.
