Where Are They
Now?
co-host of The Morning Exchange
1991-1994
Liz Claman left Cleveland 15 years ago. But when she goes on air at Fox Business Network wearing an authentic Kevin Mack practice jersey, it’s easy to see Cleveland never really left her.
During her time here, Claman, 45, was one of the hosts of WEWS-TV5’s long-running The Morning Exchange program. She departed Northeast Ohio in 1994, and after stints in Boston and at CNBC, she now anchors the 2 to 5 p.m. slot on Fox Business Network.
“I’m not sure I’ve had as much fun since then,” Claman says of her time on The Morning Exchange. “All we did was laugh.”
Claman now resides in Edgewater, N.J., with her husband, Jeff Kepnes, and two children, Julian, 5, and Gabrielle, 8. She has been with Fox Business Network since its inception two years ago.
“What I like best, No. 1, is that I was part of the construction team that came in with the hammers and nails and built it from the ground up,” she says. “Also, working at Fox Business, it’s such a team spirit. At other places, it’s ‘Me, me, me.’ Here, it’s ‘Us, us, us.’ ”
Still, she has a soft spot for Cleveland — especially our sports teams. During a recent “Football Friday” edition of Fox Business Network, Claman broke out the jersey that the Mack Truck himself gave her.
“You get very protective of these teams,” she says. “No one better say anything about them.”
