Rainforest Nut Coffee ($8.95), Scribblers Coffee Co.
Just a leap past the railroad tracks and West Liberty Covered Bridge is Scribblers Coffee Co. in Geneva. It’s become a go-to gift for the coffee elite among my friends, but this package of Rainforest Nut is mine. The whole beans can be churned to your preferred grind upon purchase. Warm and freshly cut, the aroma fills my car all the way home, and when brewing, the nutty flavor — which smells faintly like popcorn — is an exotic blend I always savor. 388 South Broadway, Geneva, 440-466-2233, scribblerscoffee.com

Patti Schneider Vintage Vase ($26), Stonz
In the last year, I’ve made a point to buy as much local art as possible, whether it’s from a vintage shop or directly from a Cleveland-based artist. Luckily, this ceramic piece I stumbled across on Etsy checks both of those boxes. After browsing through the handmade jewelry store, Stonz, I noticed the maker had a quirky assortment of vintage trinkets, art pieces and antiques. This abstract vase with purple dots and black lines caught my eye immediately, but I was sold when I read that it was originally made by Patti Schneider, a Cleveland-based artist. This little detail makes it one of my new favorite décor pieces, which I now keep in my bedroom to hold dried flowers. etsy.com/shop/SToNZ

A Hologram For The King ($8), Book Brothers
Dave Eggers has slowly become one of my favorite authors, thanks to A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, The Circle, The Monk of Mokha and, most recently, A Hologram For The King. But it only took one book for me to fall in love with Book Brothers, which opened in Lakewood two years ago. Thousands of used reads adorn the walls as you make your way toward a small, curated collection of cooler-than-you vinyl records from the likes of Elvis Costello or The Illusion. With an emphasis on counterculture, posters of Hunter S. Thompson peek out between hundreds of titles from William S. Burroughs, Jack Kerouac, John Fante, Timothy Leary and more. Owner Chris Elfers swears there is a system, but the shelves overflow into piles on the floor in a laissez faire, home-bookshelf manner that’s ripe for discovery if you have the time. For me, it was love at first sight. 15408 Madison Ave., Lakewood, 419-357-9005, instagram.com/bookbrothersohio

Dad Cap in Olive ($28), Legend Headwear
This past month my friends and I had a weekend trip planned in Ohiopyle, where we camped for a few nights and went white water rafting on Yough River. I decided to reward myself ahead of time for facing my fear of water and bought the dad cap from Legend Headwear for the trip. Honestly, I'm obsessed. I have a smaller head, so hats are usually a little tricky for me. This dad cap sits perfectly on my head and the adjustable strap would still fit larger sizes. Perfect for outdoor adventuring, I highly recommend this cap if you're planning on squeezing in a last-minute camping trip before the season is over. legendheadwear.com
