Witching Hour from Yates Perfumes ($13)
When I interviewed Melissa Hale, owner of Yates Perfume last fall for Cleveland Magazine, I thought I was going to hang up the phone as the same person. Her talk of perfume and potions intrigued me: it was a trinity of chemistry, nature and art. Maybe I was bewitched. I ordered a 5mL bottle of Witching Hour, as I was pulled in by the scents of musk and bergamot. The fragrance is refreshing and earthy, reminding me of moss, sunlight and leaves when I wear it. Somehow Hale was able to capture a forest in a bottle, and I guess that’s part of the magic. 13000 Athens Ave., Suite C288, Lakewood, 216-937-9650, yatesperfumes.com

Night Prowl Print by Arabella Proffer ($24.99)
When it comes to wall art, I’m incredibly indecisive. I can’t seem to plan out what art I want to fill my house with, so instead, I wait for it to come to me. So when I saw this whimsical print of a purple leopard by local artist, Arabella Proffer, I didn’t even think twice. Maybe it was the fact that the vibrant illustration depicts one of my favorite animals in my favorite color or because the spots look like crescent moons, but something about the fantasy of the print really pulled me in. Although I got a small 4-by-4 inch framed print, it sits perfectly on my desk and keeps me company all day. arabellaproffer.com/shop

Splinter Cell Series from James Games & More (Prices vary)A couple weeks ago, I decided it was time to step back into the shoes of Sam Fisher with the Splinter Cell series. As a kid, the original Splinter Cell game was the first ‘T’ rated game I ever played, but I only had a copy of the disc, which is now lost in the wild forever. Luckily, James Games & More had the hookup with the entire original trilogy. As soon as I popped the first game in, I was immediately transported back to middle school, where I spent countless hours playing it on the family room TV. Now, I played it at 2 a.m. on a Saturday while drinking a White Claw. Ubisoft, it’s about time for another entry. 16510 Detroit Ave., Lakewood 216-221-6555, facebook.com/James-Games-More

Stampin Stitchin’s earrings ($12)
Based out of Garrettsville, Ohio, Stampin Stitchin founder Jackie Preisendorfer makes stamped metal jewelry (think: cuffs and necklaces with inspirational sayings) and other items (yes, there’s bookmarks and keychains). While all those pieces are amazing, I fell in love with these lilac textured drop earrings. They are simple, yet add a pop of spring color to my WFH outfits. They, along with all of her creations, would make a great Mother’s Day gift or just a nice “thinking of you” treat for any of the women in your life. stampinstitchin.com
