Air McFly Hoodie, Ilthy ($60)
I’ve long been a fan of Glen Infante and his streetwear brand Ilthy for his takes on pop culture. And while I always dug his mashup of Michael Jordan’s Jumpman logo and Back To The Future’s Marty McFly, T-shirts and more with the logo on it were hard to find. Thankfully, this rerelease celebrating Ilthy’s 10-year anniversary dropped this fall, and I quickly bought it. The special logo on the back commemorating Ilthy’s 10 years sets this over the top. ilthy.com

Wine Club Membership, 750ML ($49.99)
I was at 750ML in Brecksville last month and loved the diverse wine selection they have. I decided to sign up for its basic monthly wine club membership as a fun way to expand the types of wines I am sampling. Owner Lauren Carpeta does a great job at hand-picking the wine selection for the store, so I’m excited to see what I get through my membership in the coming months. 750mlwines.com/wine-club

Electric Guitar Strings, S.I.T. Strings ($8.99)
Guitar strings seem like an afterthought, but over the past two and a half years of playing in bars and local music venues, they’re all I’ve thought about. I don’t know if it’s sweat or burred saddles, but no matter what brand or trick I try, my strings keep breaking. Recently, local singer-songwriter and guitarist Michael McFarland, who was just added to the company’s artist roster, suggested I try the Akron-based S.I.T. Strings, which helped him minimize string breakage from his intense picking attack. S.I.T., or “stay in tune,” have been handcrafted in an Akron factory since 1980, and can be heard on the guitars of Dan Auerbach from the Black Keys. I picked up the S1052 Heavy Bottoms Electric Guitar Strings, but the company also makes strings for acoustic guitars, bass guitars, banjos, mandolins and more — all of which come in under $10. Let’s hope these solve my problem, so I can get back to figuring out how to play this thing. sitstrings.com

Made in the Land Knit, Legend Headwear ($25)
I am super stubborn when it comes to bundling up for cold weather, somehow thinking that if I don't acknowledge the plummeting temperature as I skip the heavy coat on my way out the door then I just simply won't be cold. I am proven wrong every time. When I saw that Legend Headwear was starting The Give Warmth Project, I knew it was an opportunity to be more realistic this winter while also helping others who don't have the privilege of a warm place to rush back inside to. For every knit hat sold, Legend also donates one to The City Mission. Last year, they were able to give more than 1,000 hats to Cleveland's homeless population. legendheadwear.com
