Cleveland Museum of Art’s Color and Comfort: Swedish Modern Design
From past to present. Explore the comparison of the Swedish home design before and after the second World War from Cleveland Museum of Art’s collection of featured textiles, ceramics and glass. A few themes explored is nostalgia for the past, finding modernity and more. This is a project created by Case Western Reserve University students that sweeps you away with the work created by Josef Stig Lindberg, Sven Markelius and Elizabeth Ulrick as they explore design from the past to the present. From Netflix to the White House Justin Willman has been bringing his magical jokes right into our homes. Previously seen on Ellen, Conan and the Tonight Show, Willman also went viral with his video showing him making people believe they were invisible. Agatha Christie, author of one of the longest running stage productions, also created this famous courtroom thriller that is sure to have your brain looking for clues. This interactive play lets the audience be the jury. Get ready to see Leonard Vole be convicted or not convicted for killing a woman to inherit her fortune, it's all up to you. $13-$80. North Coast Men’s Chorus Mardi Gras 2019
Put on your mask and join the masquerade, because North Coast’s Men’s Chorus (NCMC) is bringing the Mardi Gras festivities to Cleveland. Celebrating their 10th year main event NCMC will be performing choir and solo acts along with a silent auction and a French Quarter Wall with magnificent gifts. All the proceeds will go to the Talespinner Children’s Theatre and NCMC's own youth outreach so get your beads and bidding paddles ready. $70. Who doesn’t love a good movie that pulls on the heart strings. This America Drama directed by Sean Baker, travels through the life of misbehaving 6-year-old girl who is living with her mom in a motel in Florida. Follow the journey of a single mom breaking the law to pay rent and a young girl expressing her anger by being troublesome, both trying to beat their struggle with poverty and homelessness. $7-$12.
