Photo Synthesis: Transformative Environmentalists Art Exhibit
Artist Samantha Bias has created an exhibit that perfectly reflects the work and passion of some of the world’s most well-known environmental advocates, animal rights activists and humanitarians. Bias uses the process of sustainable chlorophyll on leaves from the botanical gardens to create imprints of the faces of many environmental advocates throughout history, from Walt Whitman to Greta Thurnburg. This medium emphasizes the importance of using plant-based materials and exploring more natural options to create images. The exhibit is open only by reservation in the Guren Gallery at the Cleveland Botanical Garden. $10-$15 , Aug. 4 - Sept. 20, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Wednesday, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. & Sunday, noon - 5 p.m., cbgarden.org
