Tune into a Virtual Artist Talk
Since 1996, the Artist Archives of the Western reserve has been dedicated to preserving works from local artists around Cleveland and Ohio. In lieu of their planned artist showcases, they will host a two-part digital series called Home to Home: Virtual Artists Talks. Through this first Zoom talk, local artists will share their advice on how they’ve been creating during quarantine, give tours of their studios and answer questions from viewers at the end. Enjoy an Archived CIM Performance
This week, the Cleveland Institute of Music has been diving deep into its archives to showcase some of its best performances over the years on its Facebook page. These collections of live recordings consist of pieces by CIM’s ensemble, opera and solo performers, and include works from a wide range of composers. This Friday, tune in to a performance by the Rana Quartet, which consists of two violin players, one viola player and a cello player, for a performance of Mendelssohn String Quartet No. 6.
