Your Friday just got much classier. Both the Cleveland Orchestra and the Cleveland Institute of Music are sharing archival performances from their musicians all week. On Friday at noon on WCLV 104.9 FM, The Cleveland Orchestra is streaming the recording of Johann Strauss Jr'a Overture from Die Fledermaus, Ludwig van Beethoven's Presto from String Quartet No. 14 and Johannes Brahms' Symphony No. 3 in F major, Op. 90. Meanwhile at 6 p.m., the Cleveland Institute of Art is streaming a performance on Facebook Live of Beethoven's Violin Sonata No. 9 in A Major, Op. 47 “Kreutzer,” which was originally filmed in 2019. If you miss the premiere on Facebook, you can still view the video for three days. Stay Sane with Kundalini Yoga
Pop Life CLE has always been known to spring up events that are just what you need. Their upcoming virtual event will feature a Kundalini Yoga session that is meant to relax, balance and soothe the mind to help with different mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. Instructor Denys Morgan will be running the hour and a half class which includes different Kundalini breathing exercises and poses, along with concluding the class with a deep relaxation period with sound therapy.
