Last held Feb. 22, 2020, Brite Winter Music Festival is a last fond memory of the time before the pandemic for tens of thousands of Cleveland music heads.
While Brite Winter isn’t returning to the Flats in full capacity this year, the festival known for presenting some of the city’s best local acts and quirkiest artists isn’t taking off 2021. In fact, it’s expanding its offerings by presenting TwiBrite Zone, a monthly virtual streaming series that kicks off this Friday and runs through April.
Meshing visual art, quirky advertisements, craft demonstrations and live music, each episode has a theme such as January’s beach party and February’s homecoming extravaganza that uses a Twilight Zone homage to nod to the weird times through which we’re living. The first event features bands The Labra Brothers, Eliy Orcko and Post Saga.
Here's TwiBright's full schedule:
-Jan. 15 at 7 p.m.
-Feb. 19 at 7 p.m.
-March 12 at 7 p.m.
-April 9 at 7 p.m.
But if you’re still craving that in-person concert experience, mark your calendars for Brite Week at Platform Beer Co.’s The Yard on Feb. 17-21. Expect acts ranging from acoustic singer-songwriters to DJ soundtracks during the socially distanced party at the playground-themed beer garden.
“We still want to give people a fun way to celebrate winter and free access to local and regional music and arts,” says co-founder and managing director Emily Hornack. “You can definitely expect some fun and wacky things.” britewinter.com
