Leaping bulls and galloping quarter horses pounded the bullring dirt in front of a packed grandstand earlier this month at the Medina County Fairgrounds. The event, presented by Buckin’ Ohio, drew a sold-out crowd — the first ever for a rodeo here. Fairgoers were thrilled as bull riders who came from as far away as Brazil tried to hang on to the bucking bovines for longer than eight seconds. The evening was rounded out by a barrel-racing competition and a well-timed thunderstorm.
