The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is getting some street cred this summer. Rock Box, rock-themed, sound sculptures, will debut during the Republican National Convention in July. The installations pipe in earworms of music from Rock Hall inductees from 2-foot-square loudspeakers in seven locations including Progressive Field. “These will be breadcrumbs leading to the Rock Hall,” says Rock Box artist and designer Mark Reigelman II, a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art. Each Rock Box represents one of the 30 Rock Hall classes with 30- to 60-second sound bites originating from the Rock Hall throughout the day. “I call it rock ’n’ roll foreplay,” says Reigelman. “We want to give people just enough music to make them want some more.” 1100 Rock & Roll Blvd., Cleveland, 216-781-7625, rockhall.com
