Lace up your converse and break out the black eyeliner you wore in eighth grade — it’s time to tap into your teenage angst when Warped Tour rolls into the Blossom Music Center July 18 for its last mosh. The longest-running North American festival tour comes to an end this year with 54 bands, including frequent headliners Simple Plan, Bowling for Soup, the Maine and Silverstein.
Since opening the door to punk prodigies in 1995, headliners such as Limp Bizkit, No Doubt and Eminem have graced the stage alongside local acts and pop-punk up-and-comers.
Partly responsible for keeping punk and alternative at the forefront of rock’s scene, founder Kevin Lyman’s sense of activism still remains with food and blood drives and an opioid initiative.
