Cleveland’s first multiday contemporary music festival plays out on Laurel School’s 138-acre campus, where acts such as Grace Potter and O.A.R. join local bands June 11 and 12 for LaureLive: Music with a Mission, which aims to bring arts to Laurel students. “We’re really determined to give Cleveland a family-friendly, multigenerational event,” says Laurel head of school Ann V. Klotz. To keep the beat going, head to Thomas Fox’s lakefront Agumboot Music Festival to see indie and emerging alternative artists July 15. “This is a giant opportunity for Cleveland to create something incredible on the national music scene,” says Fox. Agumboot features national artists making their Cleveland debuts. “This is a talent development platform for groups who wouldn’t normally be able to play here.” LaureLive, 7420 Fairmount Road, Russell Township, 866-468-3401, laurellive.com; Agumboot, 440-941-6560, agumboot.com
