Play in the snow this month at Presque Isle State Park in Pennsylvania: The park will hold a snowshoe hike Feb. 17, followed by an introduction to ice fishing clinic Feb. 18.
In addition to the events planned for the weekend, nearly 11 miles of hiking trails are available to hikers, nature walkers and cross-country skiers inside the National Natural Landmark. Because of its many unique habitats, Presque Isle contains a greater number of the state’s endangered, threatened and rare species than any other area of comparable size in Pennsylvania.
