Jazz is like wine: It gets better with age. And the Bop Stop at the Music Settlement has had Cleveland grooving for the last 10 years as its premier jazz haven. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, get ready to feel the spirit of jazz with a week-long event featuring local and national talents at the venue.
From Oct. 15 to Oct. 20, attendees can expect various performances, with the weekend bringing the biggest highlights.
On Friday, you can listen to the dynamic Hubb's Groove, who will put on a special performance paying tribute to the Brecker Brothers at a 10th anniversary party and jam session. The Bop Stop Big Band will debut on Saturday by playing 10 new compositions created by composers with roots in Northeast Ohio and Bop Stop. Clevelanders can also listen to Grammy-nominated Nate Wood as he closes out the show on Sunday.
