Rock icons Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band just announced their first North American tour since 2016 — the last time they performed in Cleveland, as well. Their 31-performance trek hits Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on April 5, 2023, following a stop in Columbus the month before.
Unbeknownst to many, Cleveland marks a special destination for Springsteen
“If you asked him in a quiet moment what cities meant the most to him during his career, Cleveland would be near the top of that list — if not at the top,” Peter Chakerian, author of Bruce Springsteen: Live in the Heartland, told us last year.
The Boss has performed in The Land over 36 times through the decades, such as his infamous 1978 set at the Agora Ballroom & Theater.
Furthermore, the icon’s fabled 1953-54 Telecaster — Springsteen’s main instrument for 40 years and featured on the cover of Born to Run — once rested in our own back yard, on exhibit at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2020.
Tour tickets go on sale Wednesday, July 27 at 10 a.m. local time. Act fast — the tour sold over 1 million tickets in mere weeks for its European leg, necessitating additional dates. brucespringsteen.net
