While it may look like a library with its shelf-lined walls, long wooden tables and laid-back vibe, you’d be hard-pressed to find anyone skimming a book at Huth & Harris Wine Merchants. Tucked into a small storefront off Medina’s historic downtown square, the 2-year-old shop makes it easy for wine — and bourbon and craft beer — lovers to explore. Grab a seat and have the staff uncork a bottle for a $7 fee, peruse the expert wine-by-the-glass list or try one of the eight wine flights. We suggest starting with the Unlikely 3 flight ($12) — a trio of cabernet franc, malbec and zinfandel. It pairs well with the shop’s selection of tapas, which ranges from a simple olive medley to a hearty charcuterie and cheese board. Make sure you also order the smoked gouda and chorizo peppers ($7) stuffed with plenty of bold and spicy flavor. But don’t pass up the muffaletta flatbread ($12), a wafer-like crust layered with thin slices of mortadella and salami, melty provolone and a salty green olive tapenade. It’s a satisfying ending to a great story. 221 S. Court St., Medina, 330-815-4959, h2winemerchants.com
