It’s Been Said All Along: Voices of Rage, Hope and Empowerment
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s new exhibit, which serves as a way to highlight how music has served as a reaction to injustice over the years, has gone virtual. Through the immersive three-part exhibit, visitors who can't visit in person can take a deep dive through a 360-degree digital tour to look at some of the artifacts from change makers in music. Artifacts on display include a jumpsuit worn by James Brown, lyrics from the revolutionary song “Fight the Power” by Public Enemy and more, along with a curated Spotify playlist to listen along to. Maria's Field of Hope
September means the sunflower fields in Avon are officially beginning to bloom. The 25-acres of sunflowers have been blooming since 2013 after the Prayers For Maria Foundation was born to help raise funds and awareness for cancer research. Visitors can walk fields, explore the blooms, take photos and even dedicate a sunflower to a loved one. Make a plan to visit this weekend or throughout the month as the flowers reach full bloom. JiMiller Band — All Dead
Kick off your weekend with a night filled with throwback jams that will be sure to take you back to the heart of the '60s. The five-member, Cleveland-based band specializes in bringing tunes from the Grateful Dead back to life through a performance that will get you moving and grooving, with their blend of blues, country and rock and droll. If you're a tried and true lover of whiskey and bourbon, maybe it's time to sit down and learn the secrets behind what's in your glass. This class will introduce you to the fundamentals and variety of flavors of bourbon and how it became known as one of America's favorite drinks.
