On Thursday, Bedrock announced yet another movement in the company’s transformation of Tower City Center. Five new retail and dining tenants will take up shop in the building this winter.
With tasty additions including the Cleveland Sandwich Co. and Shake & Slide, this newest development may prove easier to swallow following the divisive unveiling of Skylight Park, where some Clevelanders felt underwhelmed by plastic plant life and lamented the drastic change to the building’s historic fountain.
Nonetheless, the addition of several local, small businesses is sure to bolster foot traffic and interaction in the center.
Alongside the new food options, In My Bag Collection by Tianna B offers up luxury with genuine leather handbags; hit up Darlafoxx for that perfect quinceañera or wedding dress; Mi’Amour will double in size with a new storefront packed with women’s footwear and shapewear; and Rainbow returns with goods ranging from accessories to home furnishings.
"I really thought that it would be an incredible opportunity for our brand alone to be there," says Cleveland Sandwich Co. owner Kevin O'Connell. "Because I think there's an evolution that's going to happen within that Tower City. I'm excited."
As an added bonus, the Cleveland Cavaliers Team Shop will pop up while its Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse location undergoes renovation. The team just unveiled its new uniform — sleek white jerseys boasting “The Land” on the chest.
The additions are set to unveil through December and early 2023, although Rainbow is already open. Hungry Clevelanders will have to check back soon for the signature sides and sandwiches of Cleveland Sandwich Co. chef and owner Kevin O’Connell.
