For the past four years, Kevin Love has tailored his game to fit with a LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers squad. This season, the Cavs and Love are both sporting new looks.
With the departure of James to the Los Angeles Lakers, Love has become the center of attention for a rebuilding team. But there is more to the five-time NBA All-Star than just hoops. Teaming up with Banana Republic, Love’s BR/K.Love-18 fall collection debuted in September with an outdoorsy line featuring jackets, sweaters, pants and accessories.
“We’ve taken traditional fall menswear and added my spin — merging the rugged style of the Northwest with elevated tailoring,” says Love, an Oregon native. The power forward shares his favorites from his BR/K.Love-18 collection.
Rust brown leather jacket ($548)
Love wore this jacket during his September appearance on The Daily Show. “The jacket is my favorite piece,” he says. “It has a green, plaid lining and is really a fun piece.”
Varsity striped sweater ($108)
Love was a standout at UCLA, and the sweater provides an old-school look using contemporary fabric. “It really goes all the way back to the classic John Wooden era,” he says.
Cargo pants ($98)
These pants have a tapered texture designed especially for athletic builds with extra room in the hip and thigh areas. “These are classic cargo pants but in a suiting fabric with tuxedo tabs,” Love says. “These little details really personalize the clothes.”
