Burning River Fest
Celebrate the scorching summer heat at Great Lakes Brewing Co.'s Burning River Fest. Complete with Cleveland's hottest food, beer and music, the festival was created by the Burning River Foundation more than 10 years ago to help bring awareness and support to our fresh water source. Local artists such as DJ Red-I, Ray Flanagan, Samfox and more will perform while Barrio, Mitchell's Creamery and other vendors serve the grub. We surely missed it last year, but the one-of-a-kind market is back in Asia Town this summer. At sundown, everyone flocks to the Old Chinatown District for traditional cuisine from spots such as Thai Thai and Emperor's Palace, shopping booths with trinkets, clothes and more, and creative performances. Whatever Happened to Baby Jane
If you're feeling that vintage vibe but have cleaned out your favorite vintage clothing store, grab a bucket of popcorn and watch a classic movie in black and white. Whatever Happened to Baby Jane stars Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, who play sisters and bitter rivals that have never enjoyed success at the same time. Now living together in a luxurious Hollywood mansion, one sister plots revenge against the other for a tragic accident. Dionne Warwick
Sip some wine and listen to the soothing voice of the Grammy-winning icon Dionne Warwick. The "I'll Never Love This Way Again" singer, television host and global ambassador for the U.S. graces Cain Park. The show will be opened by the soulful local band Liz Bullock and the Tremonts, who deliver jazzy-blues jams that perfectly accentuate Bullock's impressive pipes. CONCACAF Gold Cup
It’s time to watch some football — and we’re not talking about the Cleveland Browns. The CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament rolls into FirstEnergy Stadium Saturday with matchups between Panama and Guyana at 5:30 p.m. and between the United States Men's National Team and Trinidad and Tobago right after. Pre-game tailgates from the American Outlaws fan club are set to be held Friday night at Backyard Bocce in the Flats as well as in the Muni Lot prior to kick-off. On top of earning the Gold Cup trophy and World Cup qualification, USMNT are hoping to avenge a previous loss the double-Ts — so let's cheer the boys to victory this time around.
