Fashioning Identity: Mola Textiles of Panama at the Cleveland Museum of Art

this Sunday, this immersive exhibit delves into the vibrantly colored traditional clothing of the indegineous Guna women of Panama. It focuses around a specific piece of clothing called the mola, a hand-sewn blouse, which has been a part of traditional
dress since the 20th century and later became a symbol of culture, identity and independence. The series of blouses showcase a variety of different intricate designs, colors and geometric patterns and span from across distinct periods of Guna history

Wild Winter Nights at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo
Although we’ve only seen glimmers of snowflakes this November, many of us are already eager to usher in the holiday season. What better way to do this than visit a shiny winter wonderland of lights right in the heart of the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. This year’s display features more than a million individual light throughout the park, including themes like Candyland, the Enchanted Forest, Conservation Trail & Santa’s Workshop.
